Short Bio
Lisa Steurer has been a university assistant (prae doc) at the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law since April 2024. Previously, she completed her legal traineeship in the district of the Vienna Higher Regional Court and served as academic staff at the Austrian Supreme Administrative Court.
During her studies at the University of Salzburg, she worked as a project and student assistant at the Department of Public Law and the Austrian Human Rights Institute. Her research primarily focuses on Austrian and European migration law, as well as administrative procedural law.
In her dissertation, she explores the newly implemented solidarity mechanism under the revised Asylum and Migration Management Regulation, introduced as part of the CEAS reform.
Lisa Steurer is a member of the VCML’s PhD network.
